Meeting a group through an audition programme and meeting it through a record are different experiences. The first gives you a cast and a competition; the second asks what those voices can do together. For H//PE Princess, the useful next step is a short listening route through the people and songs connecting the two.

The seven-member group emerged from the Korea–Japan programme Unpretty Rapstar: HIP POP Princess. Warner Music Group’s announcement places its formation in December 2025 and identifies Chapter-I as its management home. The recording debut followed on May 27, 2026, with 17.7. That number refers to the members’ average age when the group formed—not a running statement of their ages.

Three routes into H//PE Princess: Stolen, One day, and the member-written DAISY and gOOd! tracks, followed by AWA.

Start with the connections

The album notes offer three different entry points. Dynamicduo’s Gaeko, a main producer on the programme, produced “Stolen.” ONE OK ROCK’s Taka supplied music for “One day.” Members took part in writing lyrics for “DAISY (H//PE P ver.)” and “gOOd! (H//PE P ver.),” songs also performed during the show.

Those credits are a map, not a verdict on how the record sounds. Begin with “Stolen” and “One day” back to back. Ask where your attention goes: the rhythmic delivery, the melodic line or the handover between members? Then return to the two songs carrying member lyric participation. Rather than treating the group only as the result of a competition, this route puts its recorded work at the centre.

01

Stolen

Follow the exchanges between voices. Where does one phrase make room for the next performer?

02

One day

Compare the role of melody with your first listen. What carries the song’s sense of movement?

03

DAISY / gOOd!

Keep the member lyric credits in view. How does returning to these songs change your introduction to the group?

17.7 · Official five-track order

  1. Stolen
  2. One day
  3. Hoppin’
  4. DAISY (H//PE P ver.)
  5. gOOd! (H//PE P ver.)

Watch the beginning take shape

Warner’s “One day” video note describes a story moving between past and present, connecting solitary preparation with the seven members coming together. Use that framing to follow the film’s shifts in time; it is the label’s account of the concept.

Then move forward to AWA

“AWA” arrived digitally on September 9 at noon in Korea and Japan. Warner Music Japan’s release notice says the group had first performed the song at KCON LA 2026. It describes a hip-hop track built around confidence in following one’s own style despite outside noise.

That gives a first-time listener a useful second checkpoint: a song introduced onstage, then released after the debut collection. Put it after the five-track mini-album and ask which aspects of the group’s delivery feel continuous, and which bring a different emphasis. A promotional description can supply context; the comparison is yours to make.

This is a compact way into H//PE Princess without letting the programme’s origin story become the whole story. The credits point to different creative relationships; the videos offer a visual introduction; the later single gives you something to compare with the debut. Start there, then let the songs decide where you go next.
