The musicians
behind TO US
Jin Jeon and Eljay on production. Yun Seok Cheol at the piano. Yang Jain on strings. A closer look at TWS’s new single album.
TWS’s “내 이름을 불러줘” (“Call My Name”) puts piano and strings alongside a racing drum-and-bass rhythm. Its credits bring together producers Jin Jeon and Eljay, jazz pianist Yun Seok Cheol and string arranger Yang Jain.
Released on November 2, TO US is the group’s second single album: three songs, just over eight minutes, and a writing team that connects the tracks in ways a quick listen might miss.

Piano, pace and strings
The release notes describe “Call My Name” as Boyhood Pop built around drum and bass, with piano and strings giving the song its lyrical edge. Yun Seok Cheol plays the piano and shares composition credit with Jin Jeon, Shakka, Danny Shah, Eljay and Jordan Shaw. Yang Jain arranges the strings.
These are distinct jobs within the same recording. The composer list tells one part of the story; the performance and arrangement credits tell us who played and shaped its instrumental parts.
Three members on the lyric sheet
YOUNGJAE, SHINYU and DOHOON all contribute to the title track’s lyrics. They join 김민정 and 배해 of lalala studio, Jin Jeon, Shakka, Danny Shah and Eljay.
The song addresses the people who believe in TWS, with a promise to give everything onstage. Three of the six performers have a hand in writing that promise. Jin Jeon and Eljay, meanwhile, work across lyrics, composition and production.

The names connecting the tracks
Jordan Shaw appears in the composition credits for all three songs. Jin Jeon links “WE UP” and “Call My Name” through lyrics, composition and production. 배해 connects the title track and “heavy” through lyrics.
The production partnerships change along the way. Jin Jeon works with 808Bhav808 on the Miami-bass opener and Eljay on the title song, before Shift K3Y takes over for the synth-pop closer. Across a short record, those overlapping names give each track both familiar collaborators and a different setting.
