A2O SOUL & A2O LITE: Lee Soo-man’s Next Chapter Begins

Two groups, 24 performers and two very different songwriting lineups. A close reading of the complete music credits reveals the people behind A2O SOUL and A2O LITE, and the production structure connecting them.

KPOP MAGAZINE · · Updated

A2O’s opening statement arrived in two stages. On October 12, 2026, A2O SOUL and A2O LITE shared the WELCOME TO SOULITE showcase at KINTEX in Goyang. On October 13, SOUL released “SUPERSTAR” and LITE released “NEON.” The 15-member boy group and nine-member girl group give Lee Soo-man’s next chapter an immediate sense of scale. The credits offer a more precise way to understand it. [1], [2], [3]

“NEON” is LITE’s debut digital single; “SUPERSTAR” is a pre-release from SOUL’s forthcoming debut album. Their different writing and arrangement lineups lead into shared recording, mixing and mastering personnel. The complete credits reveal a launch built around both distinct collaborations and continuity across the two releases. [2], [3], [4]

Two releases with different jobs to do

The label gives the two groups different musical reference points. LITE’s release notes foreground heavy bass, contrasting vocal colors and a cappella passages. SOUL’s notes emphasize synthesizers and an updated relationship with 1980s pop under A2O’s “New Synthwave” label. Those stated directions frame two different introductions: a debut single for LITE and the first preview of a larger album for SOUL. [2], [3]

The Dem Jointz–YOO YOUNG JIN partnership has a documented history. NCT 127’s “Sticker” also credits both in composition and arrangement. On “NEON,” the pair occupies all three principal track-level categories: composition, lyrics and arrangement. The earlier credit establishes an existing professional relationship, while the new list shows the breadth of their credited contribution here. [3], [4], [7]

HAAN brings a major international songwriting credit: BMI’s 2023 Pop Awards lists HAAN among the writers of “Stay,” performed by The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber. GENT! brings another: Avex credits GENT! with producing Doja Cat’s “Agora Hills,” and BMI’s 2025 awards identifies the writer as Gentuar “GENT!” Memishi. Both appear in the “SUPERSTAR” arrangement list, placing their documented experience within a specific role on this release. [8], [9], [10]

Paris Alexa provides a further K-pop connection. aespa’s “Supernova” credits Paris Alexa in composition alongside KENZIE and Dem Jointz. A member of the “SUPERSTAR” writing lineup therefore has a previous credited collaboration with the Dem Jointz named on “NEON.” These connections give the two singles a concrete professional context without suggesting that earlier hits determine their sound. S.M. LEE’s producer credit sits alongside individually attributed creative and technical contributions. Composition concerns the written music, lyrics concern the words, and arrangement concerns how a song is organized and realized through instrumentation and texture. Keeping these roles separate gives every contributor the attribution the published credits specify.

YOO YOUNG JIN is the recurring link across seven categories: composition, lyrics, arrangement, direction, recording, mixing and background vocals. Jungwook LEE and Duo XU also appear across both releases as assistant directors. The shared credits show continuity at several levels, even as the track-writing and arrangement lists change. They are more revealing than a single catch-all reference to “Lee Soo-man’s production team.” [2], [3], [4], [11]

Two studios and distinct technical roles

Both releases credit YOO YOUNG JIN’s recording and mixing to LeePollux BOOMINGSYSTEM, with Namwoo KWON mastering at 821 Sound Mastering. Recording captures source performances; mixing combines and balances recorded elements; mastering addresses the final mix at the delivery stage. The separate mastering entry is a meaningful part of this story: the technical credits extend beyond one person and one studio. [2], [3], [4], [11]

The overall picture is specific: two opening songs, different writing collaborations and a shared set of credited personnel across direction and the recorded presentation. A2O’s scale provides the headline. The names and roles beneath it show how the first releases are connected, and give listeners a firmer starting point for following what comes next.
