One video can introduce a group; it cannot do all the listening for you. If “OXY” is your first encounter with Keyveatz, the next useful move is not to hunt for a verdict on whether the five performers fit an established category. It is to put the song back inside the record that introduced them.

AOMG describes Keyveatz as a five-member girl crew, connecting its identity to hip-hop, underground scenes and subculture. That is the label’s positioning, not a musical rulebook. This guide takes a narrower approach: begin with the lead video, follow the debut’s earlier material, then listen to the other title track with its credits in view.

Two beginnings, not a contradiction

The two-song release Key Beats arrived on April 29, 2026, pairing its namesake with “Catch My Breath.” The debut EP OXY_GEN followed on June 30 and retained both songs. Hearing music before the formal debut is therefore part of the story, not evidence that one date must erase the other.

The earlier release notes describe “Key Beats” through a synth loop and rhythms moving between trap and Jersey club; “Catch My Breath” begins, in the label’s account, with the members’ breathing. These descriptions give a listener specific things to check. Where does the rhythmic weight fall? Does breath function as atmosphere, punctuation or a cue for movement? Those are invitations to listen, rather than claims about an undocumented studio technique.

Give both title tracks a turn

The EP’s release notes frame “OXY” around escalating hip-hop energy and “SUCK IT UP” around a more restrained, R&B-based rhythm. The catalogue marks both as title tracks. Treating the latter as an optional afterthought would miss a comparison the release itself makes available.

Try the two consecutively before returning to the full sequence. Pay attention to the distance between a vocal phrase and the next drum accent, and to how often a repeated line changes your sense of momentum. A quieter arrangement need not mean less intensity; an insistent beat need not explain the whole emotional point of a song. Let that distinction remain a question until you have heard both.

01

Meet the song

Start with OXY’s official MV. Notice what draws your attention before you consult the credits.

02

Change the frame

Watch the performance version below. Ask whether movement makes you notice a different accent or handover.

03

Hear the counterpart

Play SUCK IT UP, then the full EP. Keep the other title track in the comparison rather than deciding from one clip.

The same song, another frame

The official “OXY” performance video provides a second visual route into the track. Compare the way you follow the performers with the way you followed the MV. A performance-film label does not, by itself, establish live singing or an unedited take.

Where the members enter the credits

The comparison becomes more interesting when you look beyond the performer line. “Key Beats” credits member 엄지원 alongside toni rei for lyrics. “SUCK IT UP” lists five contributors explicitly identified as Keyveatz members in the song catalogue, alongside GLENN, 전군 and Nmore. Those five member names appear across lyrics, composition and arrangement—not just one category.

That is a firmer basis for discussing participation than the word “crew” alone. It also has a limit: a shared credit does not tell us who wrote a particular line, built a particular sound or contributed the greatest share. Read the roles as documented participation, not a transcript of the creative process.

Return to the whole record

After the title-track pairing, restore the five-song order. The pre-release pair now opens a longer introduction, while “SUB_ZERO,” featuring punchnello, sits between the two title tracks. This position gives you a useful test: does your impression of the closing song change when you reach it through the album rather than through a direct comparison?

The point is not to turn a short EP into homework. It is to leave room for more than a debut slogan. The release sequence tells you how the introduction was assembled; the credits make some creative relationships visible; the two versions of “OXY” let you separate your response to a song from your response to its presentation. Together, they offer a more generous first encounter than a single label or clip.
